Western Conference Finals - Game 6

SHARKS vs BLUES

GAME 6

Patrick Marleau had his best game of the series. He led SJS in both Defensive and Overall Contributions.

Logan Couture and Joel Ward were close behind. Both forwards were involved in several Sequences, Couture by way of set ups and Ward by finishing.

Depth up-front was a significant factor in Game 6. Contributions from each team's top 3 forwards were very similar but SJS dominated in Contributions by the 4 thru 12 forward spots.

As a group, SJS forwards had their highest Defensive Contribution level of the series.

On the blueline, Marc-Edouard Vlasic was the leader in Offensive and Overall Contributions. Paul Martin was the top Defensive Contributor.

Quiet night for Brent Burns, but SJS had great depth from their back end. Quiet isn't bad when the team is playing so well.

Looking at STL:

Paul Stastny, Alex Steen and Vladimir Tarasenko made strong Contributions to lead the Blues.

STL created very little Offense on the Rush. It was their lowest Rush Attack total of the series.

Carl Gunnarsson had a solid game, leading the Blues D-core in both Defensive and Overall Contributions.

Often matched up against SJS's best forwards, Kevin Shattenkirk and Alex Pietrangelo had a tough night defensively.
