Sharks vs Blues

GAME 2

Prior to Game 2, St. Louis was the second best team in the playoffs on the Rush. They only created 37% of their average per game Rush Contribution.

On the St. Louis blueline, Kevin Shattenkirk was a bright spot and had his best game of the playoffs.  He was the clear Overall Contribution leader among Blues defensemen.

Up front, Vladimir Tarasenko led the group but his Contributions were mostly in Offensive Zone Play. Like his teammates, he created very little off the Rush.

Joe Thornton and Joe Pavelski led the offensive charge again for San Jose.

Danius Zubrus helped out with a strong two way game and Logan Couture led the Shark forwards defensively.

Brent Burns had a great offensive game adding two goals but struggled defensively, bringing his Overall Contribution down.

Not surprisingly Marc-Edouard Vlasic was the Overall Contribution leader on the SJS blueline.
