Lightning vs Penguins

GAME 6

Nikita Kucherov turned in his worst single game performance of these playoffs.

Ryan Callahan led TBL forwards thru the first two periods but Brian Boyle had a big 3rd period to overtake Callahan to lead the charge in Overall Contribution by a TBL forward.

On the back end, Andrej Sustr led the TBL D-core Overall, but would have only placed 3rd among the Pens D-core. Braydon Coburn was the leader in Defensive Contribution.

Looking at the Penguins, Sidney Crosby was the Overall leader but Phil Kessel and Evgeni Malkin were not far behind.

Bryan Rust continues his late series surge and has made big contributions relative to his minutes played.

On the back end, Kris Letang had a huge bounce back game, going from his worst performance of the playoffs in Game 5, to his second best in Game 6.

Ben Lovejoy continues to excel in Daley's absence leading PIT in Defensive Contribution.

Key for Game 7: Hedman vs Letang.

Both have been up and down in the series, but Victor Hedman has outperformed Letang in four of the six games in this series. These two stalwarts will have a major impact on the outcome of this decisive matchup.
